Dongho Grew 8cm Since his Debut

U-KISS’s maknae Dongho is going through quite the growth spurt, as it’s been recently revealed that he grew 8 cm (3.14 inches) since his debut.
His profile currently lists his height as 178 cm (5′9″), which is an 8 cm increase since he was last recorded at 170 cm (5′6″) three years ago at the beginning of U-KISS’s debut.
Dongho explained, “At the time of my debut, I barely hit 170 cm. Because all of my hyungs were so tall, I actually had no choice but to add a bit more to my profile height and made it 173 cm.  After each new album release, however, I began to grow bit by bit.  I really grew to 173 cm between our promotions for ‘I’m Not Young‘ and ‘I Like You.’  Our company raised my profile height by 2 cm again, but by the time we were done promoting ‘Bingeul Bingeul‘, I was 175 cm.  While preparing for ‘0330′, I checked my height and now I’m really 178 cm.”
He continued, “I’m working on both an acting and singing career now so it is a bit physically difficult, but I’m doing my best and learning a lot.  I’ll make sure to show everyone my improvement and growth.”
U-KISS left for the U.S. on April 27th to attend the Korea Music Festival in Los Angeles, California.

Soo Hyun Joins JYJ Kim Junsu’s Soccer Team FC MEN

Boyband U-Kiss’s leader Soo Hyun has joined FC MEN, the soccer team captained by JYJ’s Kim Junsu.
In a recent interview with TV Daily, Soo Hyun described the story of how he had met Junsu’s twin brother Junho by chance, and how he eventually joined FC MEN.
Soo Hyun said, “While doing activities in China, I had met Junho hyung a few times, and got along well after getting to know each other. Recently, we bumped into each other at the cinema.”
“Junho hyung asked me, “Do you like soccer?” and I said that I used to be a soccer player in elementary school, and that I really liked it. Hyung said that they had a soccer team and asked if I was interested to join them, so I did.”

Currently, the members of FC MEN include JYJ members Park Yoochun and Kim Jaejoong, Kim Hyun Joong, BEAST’s Yoon Doo Joon, Lee Kikwang, 2AM’s Lee Changmin, Shinhwa’s Lee Minwoo, Model Im Joo Hwan, Comedian Park Sung Kwang, Lee Wan, and others. Also, soccer player Jung Sung-Ryong takes on the role of coach and director, and Park Ji Sun is the manager of FC MEN.
To this, Soo Hyun said, “I realised that there are a lot of people participating (in the team.) Personally, I really like soccer, and I’m really happy to have such a good opportunity. However, due to the busy schedule for the 5th mini-album comeback, I have yet to participate at all but hope to do so as soon as possible.” expressing his undeniable regret.
Also, on 15 April at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, FC MEN will be playing in the “2011 Peace Star Cup” Celebrity Soccer Competition, and will be matched against the Superstars team led by Captain Jung Joon Ho.

Dongho Revealed that He Ran Away from Home

On April 12th, U-Kiss’ Dongho guested on SBS’s “Strong Heart” and shared a story of when he ran away from home.

During a particularly tumultuous time in his life, Dongho revealed that he had packed everything he owned into a big bag and left his home for… the bank.   Despite his young age, Dongho explained, “I asked and found out that I had quite a lot under my name.  I sold all of my stocks and ELS and withdrew everything I had in my account.”

At the mention of ELS, the studio began murmuring amongst themselves, clearly confused over what it was.  Even Lee Seung Gi, known to be the smarter of the MCs, claimed to have heard it for the first time through Dongho.

To the amusement of the studio, Shindong asked, “Is it like an ARS?”

Dongho continued, “It’s not anything important.  Anyway, I withdrew all of the cash and felt like I finally had the world back in my hands. I really regret not leaving home earlier.”

He revealed that he had chosen to go to Busan in order to see the ocean and had reserved a room at one of the top hotels in the city.

Moon Hee Jun cut him off and asked, “You know what an ELS is, but you don’t know that you can also see the ocean in Incheon as well?”

After much laughter, Dongho eventually concluded his story by stating that he had given up his plans of running away to Busan and left instead for his grandfather’s, who was also celebrating his 80th birthday.

Suddenly tearing up, he showed regret over his actions by stating, “What still gets me is that in all of the pictures from my grandfather’s 80th birthday, I’m not in any of them.  It was such a joyful celebration for everyone, but my parents can be seen with their faces white with fear and forcing a smile for the camera. That really broke my heart.”
